I know there are a number of knowledgeable tech enthusiasts here, so I figured it was worthwhile to ask here. I built my computer around 7 months ago. AMD FX-8350 Black, Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P, 8 GB G-Skill Ram, Radeon R9-290, and at the time, Windows 8.1. It was a peach until I upgraded to Win 10. Now, it is plagued by network issues.
It fairly frequently switches from ‘network 2’ to ‘network 3’, giving a ‘limited’ connection and ‘no internet access’. Sometimes, time will fix it. Other times restarts will. Sometimes I have to reinstall the lan drivers. And more recently none of this, not even a reset of Windows fixes it. Any thoughts Oppos?

You need to change out your flux capacitor and wash out your cooling fan.
Swapping out your keyboard will help, too.

I hear a healthy amount of snark goes a long way. My rig is water cooled, so I don’t think washing is needed :P

Would that allow me to connect two Ethernet cable? And is there an advantage over mobo swap?

I mean it would probably be cheaper and you could user MS Server 2012 R2 drivers but updating the mobo would likely create more gains.

Agree with everyone else...likely a driver issue with the NIC. If you don’t have a separate card/USB dongle (which you should get if you dick around with computers a lot, USB ethernet dongles are el cheapo...like 10 bucks...these days) you can troubleshoot by tethering your phone to the computer assuming the phone supports.

a PCI express NIC is going to be cheaper for sure.

Do you have VMware Player installed? It loves to fuck up networks.
